When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. We store this information to personalize your experience, save your quiz progress, and display your profile.
We also store quiz scores, tasting notes, and preferences you enter in the app. This data is associated with your email address.
Your data is used to provide and improve Sommplicity. We use it to track your quiz progress, personalize daily content, and save your wine preferences. We do not sell your data to third parties.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This collects anonymized usage data including pages visited, time on site, and device type. You can opt out by disabling JavaScript or using a browser extension that blocks analytics.
Sommplicity uses localStorage (not cookies) to store your sign-in state and preferences. Google Analytics may set cookies for analytics purposes.
Your data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Render. Google sign-in tokens are verified server-side on every request.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing gina@somm-plicity.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
